MR Credit 2.1/2.2 – Construction Site Waste Management
Our panels are made to conform with project size perimeters and requirements, eliminating / minimizing field cuts and site generated waste. Products are packaged and shipped utilizing completely recyclable products appropriate for shipment size and weight reducing disposal needs.
MR Credit 4.1/4.2 - Recycled Content
Core Material – Acoustical Fiberglass Board*
• Formaldehyde free available
20% post consumer content by weight
5% pre-consumer content by weight
Standard Terratex fabric facing is manufactured from 100% post consumer recycled polyester. Proportion by value is approximate 33%
EQ Credit 4 – Low-Emitting Materials
Edge reinforcement solution and adhesives are water based and low VOC.
Conforming with required limits of the National Emission Standards and are typically less than 1 percent
Educational Classrooms
Our panels reduce reverberation time complying with the requirements of ANSI
S12.60 – 2002.
EQ Prerequisite 3: Minimum Acoustical Performance required:
Depending on the overall cubic foot of the room – reverberation time of 0.6-0.7.
Background Noise Level of 45 dBA.
EQ Credit 9: Enhanced Acoustics = Background Noise Level of 40 dBA – 1 point / 35 dBA – 2 points.
Healthcare Environments
Many of PNC’s products can help achieve the new standards for acoustic applications in Healthcare issued in the GGHC – Version 2.2 released January 2007. These standards were implemented to provide a healing environment free from distracting levels of sound.
EQ Credit 9.1: Added to address the issues of Exterior Noise, Acoustical Finishes, and Room Noise Levels.
EQ Credit 9.2: Addresses the added concerns of sound isolation (HIPPA – oral speech privacy), Paging and Call Systems, and Building Vibration.
